Hot Diggity Dog! I find it fitting that the gymnastics portion of this years’ Olympics fully concluded on the anniversary of the birth of the man widely regarded as the “father of gymnastics”, Friedrich Ludwig Jahn. While his creation of such events as the balance beam and parallel bars have led to a good deal of athletic tail wagging in pursuit of gold, I can’t help but wonder, does this mean I can partially hold him responsible for Gymkata as well?
