Joy Through December – Day 23

I don’t know if there is a more genuine and optimistic joy that occurs in the world than the one brought about by a child’s letter to Santa. With all of their heart, being, and soul they believe they will get whatever they write on that magical triple lined paper. For years this ploy has allowed parents to sneak out at night and retrieve with confidence the gift that will make their child happiest in the event Santa is delayed or the letter is lost in the mail. Often times a gift may find its way under the tree without the consent of the other parent. I just want to remind Santa before dishing out the Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle, Mom was right. They’ll shoot their eye out.
